Broccoli-Mushroom Salad

Ingredients
  • 1 bunch broccoli (cut into very small florets)
  • 1/2 lb fresh mushrooms (thinly sliced)
  • 1/2 cup Italian dressing
  • salad greens or lettuce
  • 1 avocado (sliced)
Instructions
  1. Divide florets into very small pieces or slice into small pieces. If using stems, peel and thinly slice.
  2. 3 hours before serving, place broccoli and mushrooms in large serving bowl, pour dressing over, let sit at room temperature, stir occasionally.
  3. Just before serving, slice one avocado and add to salad with as much lettuce as you want. You may want to pour off some of the dressing before adding the lettuce. Toss and serve.
