Kay Jackson’s Chocolate Sauce

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup cocoa
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp vanilla
Instructions
  1. In a heavy bottomed sauce pan on medium heat cook cocoa and water together, whisking until smooth.
  2. Add sugar and salt and continue stirring until dissolved. Boil 3 minutes.
  3. Add vanilla.
Recipe Notes

The original recipe calls for 2c of sugar. We have found it just as delicious and chocolatey with the sugar halved.
